Sectionals are just around the corner and CFED members need to represent with our full ROM! I would like to get an affiliate team or two going. Teams are co-ed and must have a minimum of 2 women. At any one time 2 men and 2 women will be competing at once. Teams can have a max of (6) member, but only (4) (2 Male/2 Female) can participate at a given time. Which means if you have a weakness, like overhead squats, you can still be a part of the team. All Team members will also get spectator access for the weekend. Please email me at phil@crossfiteastdecatur.com if you are interested.

Whoop-Whoop! Team(s) CFED will crush the affiliate challenge!! :)

Count me in for Team CFED!

I’m in! And, yes, OHS are my goat. Thanks for organizing this Phil.

      February 5th, 2010 at 9:09 am

Me too, me too!! I wanna be on the team!! My weakness is wall ball shots. ;-)

(Christin you aren’t the only person with an OHS goat…)

    7. Lauren Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 9:21 am

I’ll do it if you need another girl. I’m kinda slow so that would be my weakness. Go team CFED!!

    8. BWah Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 9:30 am

Phillip, I’ll send an email to confirm my interest but if the team will have me I’m in. As with most my Overhead Squats Suck and my distance running is in need of some improvment.

An another note, if some of you didn’t see the post that Shana put on the blog a couple of days ago about the Paleo Superbowl Party that I’m hoisting please scroll down and check it out!! In a nutshell I’m have a SB party and you all are invited!! Plase RSVP to atlantatitan@gmail.com

I just knew there would be something fun to do today after all those box jumps I endured yesterday!

Sorry for the no-show. The mind was willing, but the Achilles’ was particularly gimpy and 250 DU’s wasn’t going to help.

    11. Annalee Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 10:01 am

Phil, I’m in. Sounds like fun.

    12. Jonathan Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 10:13 am

Looking more like we are going to have two teams after all!

    13. Phillip W Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 10:25 am

Hell yeah two teams.. Brooke I know you are competing but we need your help with Team Uniforms – “Teams will be rewarded for: 1) Team with the most enthusiasm 2) Team with the most Team spirit (attire) keep in mind children will be present.”

    14. Suzanne Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 10:33 am

Shana, how did you take that picture?

    15. Suzanne Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 10:34 am

Or maybe I should ask where you were standing when you took it…although I think I just figured it out! :)

    16. Joe C. Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 10:55 am

After managing to bungle a box jump and simultaneously wipe out the person beside me (sorry again, Shu!), my wrist is jacked again. Dangit! What I’m trying to say is I regret having to miss this WOD.

Until further info comes out (like a schedule), I can’t commit to a team in good faith. I may just pick up a spectator pass to cheer y’all on, though.

    17. Maya Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 11:04 am

Sounds like pantless February is out for the the competition. I suggest knee socks with Mr. Squatty on the calves so ppl can see what gym is ahead of them ;)

    18. christin Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 11:07 am

Suzanne- Didn’t you know that Shana can fly? She was airborn for that shot. :)

    19. Shana A. Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 11:10 am

Suzanne, I went upstairs and took the photo from there. ;-)

Do we each get a spectator pass as a team member? Don’t buy yet, Joe. $50 is steep!!

    20. Joe C. Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 11:18 am

Maya, I know, how disappointing, right? Gotta love that caveat.

    21. Spencer Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 11:23 am

So that converts to 700 singles a round, yes?

    24. Sam Smith Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 12:04 pm

Don’t think I am ready for anykind of competition this year. But keep me in mind for next years regionals. I signed up to volunteer.

      Looking forward to DLs tonight.

    25. Joe C. Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 12:13 pm

The more I think about it, the more I think snap-off pants are absolutely in order for the Affiliate Competition.

    26. Ashley Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 12:21 pm

      When is the affiliate challenge?

    27. Phillip W Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 12:54 pm

@Ashley – Sectionals are Feb 27th and 28th at Stone Mountain.

@Shana – from what I can tell only individual competitors get the extra spectator ticket.

    28. Annalee Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 1:23 pm

Holy Moly, does everyone have the day off? That’s a huge noon class!

    29. christin Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 2:07 pm

Great job noon class! Patrick L- If your rope hadn’t broken, you’d have hammered this one. Bad luck! I loved the way everyone shared their ropes. Such nice southern (or Montanan) manners.:)

    30. LoveKatt Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 3:00 pm

Wow! A $50 spectator fee is REALLY high! I was excited there was something local, but I can’t afford that kind of ticket! Wish I could cheer you guys on….

    31. LoveKatt Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 3:01 pm

Ah ha! but maybe if I volunteer to help I can get in there to see you guys compete!!!

    32. Suzanne Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 3:04 pm

Shana, I figured it out as soon as I pressed the send button…I like the camera angle!

    33. christin Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 3:11 pm

LoveKatt- Spectator Schmectator!! We could use you on one of the teams! Come on!

    34. LoveKatt Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 3:20 pm

      Christin…it’s a $100 fee for entrants….to much for my current budget…..

    35. LoveKatt Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 3:21 pm

      opps…”too much”…

    36. Brooke Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 3:22 pm

I would be honored to help with uniforms! I heart color coordination and think that with all our awesome CFED gear we could not only crush the actual WODs, we would be voted “Best Dressed” :)

    37. Annalee Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 3:38 pm

Oh man. $100? That’s not exactly in my budget either. Maybe next year.

    38. Shana A. Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 3:52 pm

Y’all it’s $100 if you are trying to qualify for regionals. Only $25 a head for the team competition.

    39. LoveKatt Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 3:57 pm

      Hmmnnn…that is much more accessible….

    40. Ashley Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 4:17 pm

Wow deadlifts and pullups? My back is sore from yesterday. This will definitely be a challenge!

    41. Maya Says:
      February 5th, 2010 at 4:44 pm

Signed up for 630, but might try to squeeze in at 530p if that’s ok.

    42. matt H. Says:
