What are people using for good paleo fat sources? I’ve been using avocadoes, nuts, almond butter, meat, and paleo-friendly hummus, but am looking for some other ideas as well. Thanks!

Nice quote. And I think I speak for everyone here when I say “ow”.

Uh Joe I think you only speak for the AM crew, the PM crew has no idea what you would be referring to.

Oh, and Suzanne – oils can be good fat sources as well, I believe. I think I remember coconut oil being a popular Paleo oil, but my staple is olive oil. I think that’s kosher, I’ll wait for someone more in the know. With those oils you can saute stuff or make your own mayo or, y’know, whatever.

Suzanne, i started eating olive yesterday along with macadamias and brazil nuts as way to mix it up. I learned today that butter was ok. Although, I can’t see any way a caveman would be able to churn it; however, i am not complaining.

One more use for duck tape: to hold the weights on your barbell when the 5:30 AM class has more people than clips(just ask Chenchu).

Thanks Phil keeping me on task this AM. In Oct 6.5 rounds, in June 7, and today 7.7.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I’ve been using olive oil too to cook (but not olives), but haven’t made mayo yet or used coconut oil. I’ll give those a try.

Dressings are a great way to get fat! We make our own vinagrette with sunflower or olive oil. It’s delicious. Also, mayo is paleo.

      Myesha, we miss you, too!
